Connection failed: Failed handshake to server

What is the issue you’re having?

When trying to join the RP server I’m apart of I get a connection failed.

I get the error details: Failed handshake to server http://45.144.225.44:30120/ - it closed the connection while deferring.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

flushed DNS, rebooted motem, reinstalled FiveM, confirmed that I could join other servers, checked TLS & SSL, reset windows time, checked network connections

What server did you get this issue on?

Vibes RP

Additional comments

There was a mention of CURL code 28 by some of the devs who were helping me troubleshoot. Also they talked to the people at 1of1 and they mentioned my ISP but everything else where I live is running perfectly fine.
