Well, folks, we made it through another year!
As we come to the end of 2025, we want to take a moment to thank all of you who continued to help FiveM and RedM thrive this year. From community contributions (which we continue to detail in our Release Notes) to engaging server events, amazing releases, and ongoing development work, we couldn’t have done it without you.
And most importantly, this month we wanted to show off some FiveM/RedM creations and events that are all centered around winter and the holiday season. So take a seat, pour some cocoa into your “World’s Okayest Programmer” mug, and check out these amazing community creations:
FiveM
Vehicle Grip (Snow Factor) Natives
We’re kicking things off with a reminder of two natives that will help (or hinder!) any FiveM drivers this holiday season:
SET_VEHICLE_XMAS_SNOW_FACTOR: gripFactor: amount of grip strength vehicle wheels have when xmas weather is active, 0.0 being normal weather grip. 0.2 is the default.
GET_VEHICLE_XMAS_SNOW_FACTOR: Returns the grip factor for the vehicles wheels during xmas weather. default value is 0.2.
Example Use:

Setting 0.1 → vehicle has more grip than the default snow handling

Setting 0.3 → vehicle has less grip than the default snow handling
-
Setting 0.0 → snow weather has no effect on this vehicle’s traction
This only applies when winter/snow weather is enabled.
Just something you may find useful if you (or your favorite server owner) plan on covering maps in snow this year!

MadCap has created a free Secret Santa-style gifting system for FiveM, where you can create groups, add nearby players, and then get randomly assigned gift recipients with optional randomized in-game gift suggestions.

It’s the perfect addition for server owners looking to add some festive cheer to their servers, encouraging generosity throughout FiveM this holiday season!

FlashFA’s Holiday Events
French FiveM server FlashFA has a range of winter-themed events planned throughout December, including a snow-covered map where you can gather snow from the ground, build snowmen anywhere you like and also drive a snowmobile through the new icy landscape.
There’s also a Christmas market selling holiday-themed food and drink, decorated for the occasion with festive music accompanying players as they shop.
They also have an Advent Calendar running throughout December, where players get randomized rewards from logging into the server every day, as you can see in this video:

RedM
Syn County’s Holiday Events
Popular RedM server Syn County recently kicked off the holiday season with a Christmas lights contest, where players were encouraged to decorate their houses for the festive period:
Additionally, throughout the holiday season, Syn County is hosting ‘The Great Elf Hunt’, where players need to catch eleven mischievous elves who have gotten loose from The North Pole! Hunting down the elves will earn players Elf Tokens which they can deposit into Santa’s Magic Post Box to earn special festive rewards.

Macabre Redm’s Holiday Resources
Macabre creates RedM maps, resources and scripts which aim to ‘build the more macabre immersion’ of your RedM roleplay servers. You might think this an odd pick for a holiday-themed Spotlight, but between the listings for weapons and death masks, they have several fun holiday-themed resources in their store, including:

Xmas Tree Command: A free command script that spawns a Christmas tree in your RedM server. Use /xmastree to spawn the tree in front of you and /bahumbug to pick it back up/remove it!

Santa Hat and Candy Cane Props: Santa hats for both female and male body types in three colors (red, green and black) as well as a candy cane prop that you can carry around in your hand.

Die-namite Christmas Tree: Based above the St Denis Newspaper Company, you will teleport to through the secret door and come across a beautiful Christmas tree with a box of dynamite underneath to have fun with!

Inisgael’s RedM Art
Finally, we wanted to highlight the incredible work of artist ‘Inisgael’, who creates amazing digital artwork centered around RedM characters and scenarios.
He recently shared this official beautiful seasonal artwork for his RedM server, Westhaven: the Hush Roleplay:
