Right, there is a lot to digest here. So I was playing FiveM when my game crashed. When I went to start it up again, FiveM.exe deleted itself and the game was telling me that it had been moved to another location. I decided to uninstall the game (the files that I could) and upon trying to reinstall I received a whole host of errors. Sorry I cannot remember all of them, but it was mainly citizen.dll that was preventing my FiveM from reinstalling. At one point I managed to get into the game, but realised that I needed to reinstall my trainers, and so I did that and upon starting FiveM, it deleted itself once again.

Please note that I am receiving such a variety of errors, that it feels like I am playing on a slot machine.

This sounds really like a anti-virus problem so are you sure you really disabled all anti-virus?

Sorry, I forgot to note that from the one time in which I was able to get onto the game, I do have the FiveM Application Data folder with all the files inside, just not FiveM.exe.

I can double check again.

Ok, as it turned out, my AVG hadn’t been fully turned off. I did this and then tried to launch FiveM again and weirdly, instead of installing, it just launched. Once again I didn’t have my trainers didn’t work, so I exited the game and FiveM.exe deleted itself again. Additionally, what was ‘FiveM Application Data’ has now turned into ‘FiveM.app’, although the files inside are the same.

I have no clue what is going on.

EDIT: Ok, so now when I install FiveM, it will instantly launch, and won’t delete itself when I close it, although when I open file location, it takes me to my downloads and so isn’t using the files in my Application Data folder.

Sorry if i have spammed this thread a bit, but it seems as though my issue is fixed. I turns out that for some reason another application data folder was in my downloads, and that one seems to work, so good enough.

Thanks TheIndra
