Cannot link FiveM forums account. Authentication Failure / We were not expecting this reply

What did you do to get this issue? Clicked ‘Link’ to connect FiveM account (In client settings)
What server did you get this issue on? Not a server.

Also add what you already tried so far.

I click ‘Link’ to link my FiveM account, it takes me to the ‘Authorize’ page. When I click authorize, I get asked to open FiveM. When it does I either get the message ‘Authentication failure connecting to FiveM account.’ or ‘We were not expecting this reply - please try connecting your account again.’.

I have tried both clicking authorize with the FiveM client staying open and I have tried closing FiveM client and clicking authorize and letting it re-open.
