Hello everyone,
I am currently developing a roleplay server set in Mexico and I have a question regarding FiveM’s Terms of Service.
I would like to implement a government faction based on the Fiscalía General de la República (FGR). For those unfamiliar with it, the FGR is Mexico’s federal law enforcement and prosecution agency. It is responsible for investigating and prosecuting federal crimes, combating organized crime, conducting forensic investigations, and representing the public interest in criminal proceedings. It functions similarly to a federal prosecutor’s office and investigative agency in other countries.
My intention is to use the FGR strictly for roleplay purposes, including its name, ranks, vehicles, and general organizational structure, while making it clear that it is a fictional representation within a gaming environment and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the real institution.
I would like to know if this would be allowed under FiveM’s Terms of Service or community guidelines.
Specifically:
-
Is it permitted to use the name “Fiscalía General de la República (FGR)” in a public FiveM server?
-
Can we use vehicle liveries inspired by real FGR vehicles?
-
Is it recommended or required to include a disclaimer stating that the faction is fictional and not affiliated with the real agency?
-
Has anyone previously used real government agencies in a FiveM server without issues?
I have seen many servers use real-world police departments, sheriff’s offices, and other government agencies, but I would like to ensure that using a Mexican federal agency would not create any compliance issues with FiveM’s policies.
Any clarification, experience, or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
