What is the issue you’re having?
Hello,
I’m experiencing a consistent issue with FiveM and Bitdefender.
Every time I launch FiveM, Bitdefender immediately blocks a fraud attempt related to this domain:
The warning says it’s triggered by:
fivem_chromebrowser
This happens:
Immediately on startup, before I join any server
Even after a full clean reinstall (I deleted AppData\Local\FiveM, AppData\Roaming\CitizenFX, cleared DNS, and installed FiveM again from the official website: https://fivem.net)
Without ever connecting to a server
I previously played on these servers:
Nacro City
Modern V
LateNight
NRW Roleplay
So I suspect one of them may have cached a malicious UI script or is causing FiveM to load external content.
Steps to reproduce:
Launch FiveM
Bitdefender shows a “fraud attempt” warning from cdn.astro-life.com
The source is always fivem_chromebrowser
This happens every time
System Info:
Windows 11
Bitdefender Antivirus (up to date)
FiveM downloaded from https://fivem.net
Question:
How can I completely remove whatever script or cached resource is causing this?
Is there a way to stop fivem_chromebrowser from loading external content in the background?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Jonas
