I’ve seen beer-twenty-kitten error before and never had but a single crash result from it. Today though it killed the entire server giving me now long gone india-winter-berilium/delta-red-lithium/and-so-on… flashbacks

But at some point between May '18 (the end of the india-winter-beryllium/delta-red-lithium era) and Feb '19 (the beginning of the alpha-carolina-maine/twenty-beer-kitten era) this error did not exist for 8 months.

This is an uncommon error, it does appear to be ours and our players alone. However that it disappeared completely for so very long with no changes to our system, only to return to plague us again indicates that it is not a problem we create but rather perhaps a problem we alone suffer. As a guessing example, we have long been a venue of exploiters, users testing unauthorized trainers and the like. Perhaps we are merely more susceptible, even the trusted testing ground of just one exploiter. That is only a guess. And I have not seen any exploiters since before this latest beer-twenty-kitten error, but I do not see all. It may simply be as the original elements @uranium and @niobium noted, corrupted data.

This first set on Linux Debian x64 1141 is a standard server killer, all players disconnected, all players crashed (15+), cannot say how many except that it would not be a Saturday if there was no beer-twenty-kitten to kill us. Though I don’t blame Saturdays directly it happens on Monday high populations too…
