What did you do to get this issue? I downloaded FiveM for first time and when I tried to open it, Avast detected it as a virus, so not sure if I should ignore it or what

Which antivirus/firewall software are you using? Avast
Did you try to disable/uninstall your Anti-virus? No, don’t feel to sure about it

As long as you downloaded FiveM.exe from https://fivem.net, it’s perfectly safe. This is a so called false positive https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_positives_and_false_negatives

Yes, I’ve downloaded it from the official website, I will make an exception in Avast and ignore it. This topic can be closed now, thank you. @d0p3t
