Arizona Roleplay

An Arizona-Based FiveM Roleplay Community

In this post:

Who we are

Arizona Roleplay, "ARP" for short, is an Arizona-based FiveM roleplay community that aims to bring the beauty of Arizona to the roleplaying scene, in a more integrated manner than ever before. You may have seen those servers that advertise themselves as being the "Copper State" or "Arizona State" roleplaying servers—not name-specific, but that general naming scheme—that use the word Arizona more-so as a piece of marketing material than a true, core foundation. Our goal at ARP is to use fully accurate Arizona vehicles, statues, penal codes, vehicle codes, license plates, licensing, radios, sirens, emergency light patterns, and much, much more.

What we do

We aim to provide flexible rank structures within departments, and only two tiers of civilian hierarchy. For law enforcement, all of the real-life Arizona department roles will be available to choose, we will not be forcing a rank structure ladder-climbing scenario. You may start where you please, and move around freely. As for civilians, the two tiers will be "New Civilian" and "Native Civilian". New civilians will be slightly more limited in terms of game-integrated commands and features, but are still free to roleplay as they please with the provided resources. New civilians who become trusted members of the community and are active at least once a month are promoted to native civilians, which lifts any previous restrictions due to being a new civilian.

What we are looking for

Below are some of the titles we are currently onboarding and their respective responsibilities:

  • Civilians

    • Provide creative, unique roleplay situations and scenarios

    • Assist the development team in finding and reporting bugs or errors

    • Be respectful to the development and staff teams, as well as your fellow players

  • Law Enforcement

    • Protect the streets of Arizona

    • Mentor new officers within your department, specialisation, or squadron

    • Handle stressful situations professionally, effectively, and efficiently

    • Be a role model for your peers

  • Server Moderation

    • Moderate intolerable or disrespectful behavior

    • Ensure all players abide by the rules and guidelines

    • Help players elevate their roleplaying experience with the use of commands and moderator-specific resources

    • Be a role model for the entire server

  • Server Development

    • Have experience with any programming language(s), preferably C# or Lua

    • Have an understanding of how to navigate the FiveM resource development documentation if necessary

    • Have the ability to identify and remediate problems and bugs in realtime

    • Be willing to learn from your fellow developers and assist those in need

    • Develop bespoke resources in a team of like-minded individuals

  • Community Management

    • Be open-minded and willing to hear every side of a story

    • Be vigilant, on your toes, and ready to deescalate any conflicts that arise

    • Be willing to take responsibility for your actions and admit when you are in the wrong

    • Be an active and committed member of the community

    • Engage with players and other community members, and invoke curiosity and intrigue in your conversations

Applications

As we believe everybody deserves at least one chance, we do not operate using a typical "application". All you have to do is join our Discord server and let us know what position you would like! We may ask a few non-personal questions—please do not answer anything personal or that you are uncomfortable answering—that help us determine if the role suits you. After the brief "interview" process, your desired title will be assigned to you if space is available.

Important Notice

Arizona Roleplay is a non-profit community, meaning we DO NOT and WILL NOT expect payment or donations from our community members. As a result, we are not offering paid positions for the time-being. While we will forever be a non-profit community, we may offer paid positions or switch positions from unpaid to paid in the future depending on external revenue in relation to the server, and hand out bonuses to extraordinary community staff and members using proceeds from donations, if any. Though donations are accepted, and greatly appreciated, we do not expect them. Never feel obligated to donate or support monetarily. Additionally, we will NEVER ask you to pay us or reimburse us for operating costs or any other invoice. If you are contacted regarding missing or late payment, please report the person who is contacting you to our support and safety teams.
