"Are you sure you are allowing UDP packets?"

Yes, again one of those topics but at that point I don’t even know how to fix it.

Both my RedM and FiveM servers could connect fine about 2 days ago and suddenly all I get is this when trying to connect to either servers:

Litteraly nothing changed between the last time I could connect and today, I tried:
-Reinstalling FiveM/RedM
-Emptying the cache on both the client and server
-Checking the firewall (Ports are correctly forwarded)
-Checking the router (Ports are correcting forwarded)
-Running a flushdns on the server
-Connecting with the server’s direct IP
-Checking if the port is already in use (it’s not)
-Checking on canyouseeme if the ports are open (They are)

And yet nothing works.

I don’t even know why it’s doing that, all the other game servers I am hosting on this server work fine, only fivem doesn’t work. So if anyone has an idea, i’m open to suggestions on what I could have missed.

Well you have checked that the UDP port is open, right?

Yep. They are.

I also tried to redo the whole server from scratch and yet it still doesn’t want to do anything.

A bit of an update, I tried hosting the server on another computer and it worked so there is clearly some kind of problem with my regular server.

However one thing I don’t understand is that I did allow the necessary stuff on the server and I did not change the config since the last time it worked. Any idea?

I tried looking at all sorts of tutorials but they all lead to a dead end.

Okay so new update, I haven’t touched anything and now it works! I can connect to it again.

I have no idea why though but hey better than nothing I guess.

In case someone has the same problem, try these on your server:

  • Run ipconfig /flushdns and ipconfig /renew then restart
  • Delete and redo the firewall rules you have in place
  • Make sure the fivem executable is allowed in the firewall
