Its free. So out of all the release types, it has the most rights to be locked. Its a free product. You don’t like it? Simply don’t use it. Choosing beggars…
Again. All the code which should be public, is public. So that the scripts can be made to work with any framework, any notification system, any inventory etc.
Hey Kuzkay, I was thrilled to discover such a high-quality script available for free and was eager to try it out in my upcoming server, a project I’ve been developing over the past few weeks. However, I was disheartened to find that part of your code was obfuscated, which discouraged not only me but many other developers from proceeding with the download.
As a fellow FiveM developer and software freelancer, I fully understand the concerns around resales of scripts. However, licensing options are available to address this issue, and they even provide a legal actions against resellers. Open-source code not only empowers the community to develop better scripts by enabling less experienced developers to learn from more seasoned ones, ultimately leading to a better gaming experience for the players.
I hope you might consider these points for your future releases. Many users would likely prefer to pay for open-source scripts over using obfuscated ones that are offered for free.
