adhesive.dll!CreateComponent (0xc0e677)

FINALLY SOLVED OMG ----> Delete your Shure MOTIV App or Medal.tv App – or rather, Delete any and all apps that send a ping to get update information.
Including: OBS, Medal.Tv, Discord, Skype, Game launchers like Steam/epic games, Peripheral software like Razer synapse, Logitech G hub, Steel Series GG.

I use a Shure Sm7dB Microphone and that software conflicted with the windows update, it fixed it for both myself and two others so far. Hope this post helps.

Delete apps one at a time so you can pinpoint the problem if it ever reoccurs!

What is the issue you’re having?

Getting a bit of a head scratcher… here is what’s happening: No matter what build I open FiveM in (beta, canary or production in different order) it will crash in the menus from adhesive.dll authenticating only after 2 minutes of idling in the server browser, or loading in to a server-- both crash. Switching between builds sometimes you’ll see a KERNEL32.dll in there, but it’s mostly adhesive.dll

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

–Deleted content_index.xml
–Deleted the cache and priv cache folder in FiveMs main directory.
–Removed the adhesive.dll file, and the crashes completely stop , but when I attempt to join a server they reject me saying “No Authentication Ticket was specified”
– Replaced the adhesive.dll file with one from someone that doesn’t have the problem and it didn’t change anything
–Disabled my Firewall entirely and made sure everything was allowed
–Reinstalled both GTAV and FiveM. only thing I didn’t do was look in registry for FiveM after uninstalling

–Gave the image a check and cleanup in CMD using:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Then after, I did a system file check ( /sfc scannow ) in the CMD with nothing found.

–Reinstalled Dx11/12
–Reinstalled Microsoft .net framework
–Reinstalled NVIDIA Game Ready Driver

I’ve even tried switching from production build, letting it open, go to settings and switched to Beta, and Canary respectively, with no change other than the error code would add KERNEL32.dll to the list of errors, as well as moving the adhesive.dll file out and back in between different builds.

Finally, I’ve tried System Restoring a day prior to the most recent two Microsoft updates… to no avail !

What server did you get this issue on?

New Energy RP was the Last server I played, But I also play Smile RP, and Liquid RP

Additional comments

So I’m stumped fellas!! Any help is greatly appreciated, It seems a lot of people are having this issue. The only thing I’ve correlated it with is most people did their Microsoft update, and Discord update … -shrugs-
Hope we can get some help from the Devs on this one, as I feel like I’ve covered most bases aside from Resetting my PC to factory.

Hate to tell you but I resorted to resetting today and I still got this error after being in a server for about 10min. Thought I had solved it all. There has yet to be any fix that actually works. I can’t figure it out. The next thing I may try is installing Windows 10? But I can’t figure out how I got the issue even after a full reset.

Hey, I noticed that you are on a 13-th gen Intel CPU (i7-13700kf). This CPUs have a known issue, where high voltage gets applied, causing sometimes permanent damage to the CPU. It causes weird crashes in many games, and we haven’t been able to find a reason for this crash, so I’d call it “weird”
This issue is sometimes mitigated by a BIOS update, but not always. I just want to check if your BIOS is up to date. Can you press the Windows key and R on your keyboard at the same time and in the box that pops up, type dxdiag and press OK. It should open a window similar to this, please screenshot it and send it here:

Hey thanks for the reply! Just at work right now but I’ve got everything up to date and tested my 13th gen CPU after I installed the intel Microcode update to make sure no lower voltage cells got destroyed during the time we were all waiting for the BIOS update. But when I get home I’ll edit this post with the screenshot!

One day I’m playing Five.M just fine, then 3 days later this problem occured. In those 3 days, I did EXACTLY and ONLY this:

  1. Downloaded and installed windows update from about 2 weeks ago
  2. Downloaded the new NVIDIA app, and then updated my game ready driver to two versions higher than my last update.
  3. Turned my Meta quest 2 headset on and updated it
  4. Watched a movie on Prime Video while playing a game called “Deep rock Galactic”
  5. an hour after i disconneted my ethernet to clean, starlink lost signal for a second as there was a snow storm, and I ran the “Find and Fix Network Problems” to fix the DNS error that sometimes happens on starlink maybe once a month.

THEORY: since adhesive.dll seems to be needed for authentication, maybe there is something in the file that, now, for some reason; doesn’t like being requested by certain networks—example starlink being a completely dynamic ip.

SOMETHING TO NOTE: discord did recently just add End to End encryption around the same time this issue started to pop up for alot more people.

Everyone who has this issue I’d be interested to hear if they’ve done the Microsoft cumulative update and the Nvidia APP transition from the older GEFORCE experience.

For no error or critical error logs to show in event viewer at any point, no ‘hiccups’ from hardrives, freezes, nothing. Just all of a sudden it stops working, this is one of the strangest problems I’ve ever faced in IT, and the only thing I can think it being is something wrote wrong on a hardrive and it thinks that is the default config for it or something along that line.

UPDATE: I’m going to start disconnecting shit. First will be all my hardrives, internal and external, one at a time. I’ll download gta and fivem and try them on multiple drives. After that I’ll fully purge my pc to factory default and repeat the process with the hardrives, as well as downloading and installing microsoft updates from last year and slowly working my way up (same for game ready driver)

The only way were ever going to figure this out is if people keep bouncing ideas of eachother and cross referencing eachothers experiences, so I really appreciate any and all replies!!

Make sure that you disable the “Game filters” functionality in the NV App completely, it’s known to cause issues, although not of this kind - still, better safe than sorry

didn’t you say deleting Shure MOTIV fixed your issue? Is it back?

I found the solution before the Moderators could approve my reply to you ! Wooo!
Had to ask 3 people what in common we have, and a Shure Microphone was the only thing that lined up, as well as the windows update.

Question. I have an issue adjusting the sound level for my MV7 Shure mic without the app. Have you found any issues with this when deleting the app? I just went to the trouble of downgrading to windows10 and have found that as a fix, but wondering when this mic issue will pop back up how to fix that?

So, I currently use ShurePlus MOTIV. For the others plagued with the issue did the new MOTIV Mix app cause same issue? Just wondering…

I’m suspecting the main cause for the Shure MOTIV app being the problem was the fact we DID NOT upgrade to the new Shure MOTIV Software

In your screenshot that’s exactly how I left mine, just decided “Eh I don’t need the update”

Anyhow, after I deleted it, I redownloaded and installed the newer version and I’m able to use it with FiveM open no problem!

it’s amazing how much trouble something so simple can cause.

I dont got the Shure App and still got that Issue i fully closed OBS, Steelseries App and still got that Crash!

Maybe this Info helps: I updated to 24H2 and then downgraded to 23H2 again. (Dont know if the Problem came then. I didnt played when i was on 23H2 before and i didnt played when i downgraded to 23H2 again i started playing just since the downgrade)

Any updates? I am having the same issue.
I’ve done everything update all drivers, DirectX and everything. Yesterday it was running perfectly, today morning also perfect, when I quit the game and relog, adhesive.dll and early-exit-trap errors.
All my drivwrs, bios, everythig it’s up to date, working flawlessly. Only fivem crashes.
Windows 10 latest version all updates installed
Intel i9-14900ks
Gigabyte aorus elite ax DDR5
32gb ddr5 at 5400mhz 1.25v
Gtx 1080ti
750w psu
2x nvme ssd

I found this fix that worked for me, no errors anymore in more than 10 hours of fivem testing.
Win+R %temp%
win+r temp
win+r prefetch
Delete all the files in those folders that opens when running that command, those are just temporary files that you should delete them every restart.
That fixed the early exit trap and adhesive.dll errors for me.

Go to your desktops start menu, go to Add or Remove programs, and start deleting your apps one at a time and reopen fivem every time you delete an app.

Recommend starting with things like Medal, OBS, Streamelements, peripheral software such as Shure MOTIV mic app, ICUE for corsair etc… anything that needs an update!

in a nutshell, The windows update seems to be the culprit, it doesn’t shnoodle well with an app somewhere on your computer
