Account Identity Conflict Between Two Players

What is the issue you’re having?

Hello,

My friend and I are experiencing a very unusual issue with FiveM.

A long time ago, we used the same Rockstar account for a period of time. However, we now have completely separate accounts for everything:

  • Different Rockstar accounts
  • Different Steam accounts
  • Different Discord accounts
  • Different Epic Games accounts
  • Different Cfx.re/FiveM accounts

Despite this, we still experience account identity conflicts.

When one of us joins a server, the other cannot join. We have also noticed that identifiers occasionally appear to become mixed between our accounts. For example, account-related information sometimes appears to be associated with the wrong player.

We are no longer using any shared accounts, and all linked accounts are different.

We would like to know if there could be any old identifier, authentication token, license, or account linkage remaining from the time we used the same Rockstar account.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

  • Verified that Rockstar accounts are different
  • Verified that Steam accounts are different
  • Verified that Discord accounts are different
  • Verified that Epic Games accounts are different
  • Used different Cfx.re accounts
  • Signed out and back into all accounts
  • Cleared FiveM cache and data
  • Reinstalled FiveM
  • Tested with newly created Cfx.re accounts
    nothing happen

Additional comments

Additional Information:

The issue started after my friend and I previously used the same Rockstar account a long time ago. We no longer share any accounts.

Currently we have:

  • Different Rockstar accounts
  • Different Steam accounts
  • Different Discord accounts
  • Different Epic Games accounts
  • Different Cfx.re accounts

We are also not on the same internet connection.

The most unusual part is that account identifiers sometimes appear to become mixed between us, which makes us suspect there may be an old account linkage or identifier conflict somewhere.

If this is not a FiveM-side issue, we would appreciate any guidance on what could cause this behavior and what additional troubleshooting steps we should take.

you fix the problem because i have the same problem and i dont now how to fix

hello.
when you said you “cleared FiveM cache,” did that include DigitalEntitlements specifically, or just FiveM’s own cache folder? They’re two different places, and it matters which one you actually hit. you feel me. i am not active on this forum but you can always find me on discord. add me on discord: onebrickaday

Hello,

I uninstalled FiveM through Windows Control Panel and then reinstalled it.

I also removed the FiveM folders that I was aware of, but I did not specifically delete the DigitalEntitlements folder because I did not know about it.

Could this be related to the issue? If so, should both my friend and I remove the DigitalEntitlements folder and reauthenticate our accounts?

Also, could you please confirm the exact location of the DigitalEntitlements folder? I want to make sure I am checking the correct path before making any changes.

Thank you for your help.

I have the exact same problem, just like you. I ve tried a lots of things, but nothing worked. Please, if you find any type of solution to this problem, share it to us!

i didnt fix it i send support email and this is response
We are aware of an issue where players are encountering the error "your account is already being used to play on FiveM or RedM” and are working on a solution.

of course thats related to the issue. and on fivem support. they always send this automated responses that are fucking annoying. i guess they are paid to just sit around and do nothing

IDK what to do

I have the exact same issue and done everything. Some one in a discord said that is due to a licence thieve or something like that and that we need to ask for support in the Rockstar games launcher to change our licence. I have been triying to contact with them but there is no luck.

I mean thats pretty misleading. and support as we all know are paid to sit around and do nothing

i already told op the fix. The problem is a folder called DigitalEntitlements that gets created locally on your PC when you first authenticate GTA V. installing and reinstalling fivem doesn’t work because this folder leaves outside the fivem install path entirely.

i try to do it on my pc but nothing happen

And how do we fix it?
