what folder not really needed and I can delete? I love being aesthetic person and they seem to be all trashy, what I need for the base
???
Please expand and elaborate more. “they” “base”
Edit your above post with more info. Do you want too know where to put the resources folder? If you can delete it?
Urgh, I meant to say what folders within ‘resources’ folder I can delete, like [system] and so on.
Golden Rule: If you don’t know what it fucking does then chances are it does something important.
Nah but it’s kinda common sense, Would you go and delete your system32 folder to clean it up xD
Yeah, I will do it right now… just remind me to throw my computer towards the trashcan too
But on a serious note, there are some things that are not used. If you look at the default server.cfg (on server setup tutorial on wiki.fivem.net) you will see all the ones that are actually needed. I would recommend not deleting them and instead, putting them into a folder called [ignore] .
Hope this helped you : )
by default for a good “out of the box experience”, you need the following resources:
[managers]/mapmanagers/[system]/hardcap[system]/sessionmanager[system]/spawnmanagerfivem-
fivem-map-hipsterorfivem-map-skater, only one of them is really needed. (or create your own)
these are recommended:
[system]/chat[system]/■■■■■■■[system]/scoreboard-
[gameplay]/playernamesused for showing playernames above player’s heads. -
[test]/keks(use this as a template for your own loading screen) -
runcode(only use this if you’re planning on running in-game code tests, otherwise its pointless) -
[system]/baseeventsthis one may be required by some resources you install from the forums.
these are either broken or unused resources:
[gamemodes]/race[gamemodes]/race-test[gameplay]/channelfeed[gameplay]/irc[gameplay]/obituary[gameplay]/obituary-deaths[test]/betaguns[test]/gameInitfivem-awesome1501
note this is all just what I use on my servers, you may want to experiment with each resource and find out what it does exactly and then decide if you want to use it or remove it. The required/recommended ones are probably best to leave enabled, the broken/unused resources can be removed safely without any negative side effects, since they’re not used by default anyway.
