1874: THE FRONTIER ROLEPLAY

The Frontier has recently reopened it’s doors after a successful soft launch, and we want to see more people come and see what great things we have in store. To entice more players, we’d like to explain exactly what makes this server so great!
Our server takes place in Texas and northern Mexico, currently between the in-game areas of New Austin and Nuevo Paraíso. It is a time and setting that truly encapsulates the themes of the “Wild West–” of cowpokes, outlaws, lawmen, roaming Native bands, and all the other marvelous, unique things our playerbase has crafted.
We offer:
- A fully accessible Mexico map consistently being built upon by our excellent dev team! Currently, the people of Mexico reel after the coup d’etat against the warmonger Colonel Ignacio Torres, and the border skirmishes between his infantería and the U.S. Cavalry. Power has been passed into the hands of the Rurales, a peacekeeping force sent directly from Mexico City to protect from roving bandits and Native raiders. A cautious optimism has overtaken the people of Nuevo Paraíso, but for how long is anybody’s guess.
- Tons of freshly open whitelists, ranging from circuit judges, lawmen, saloon owners, gunsmiths, doctors, general store manages, rural guardsmen, hacienda owners, ranchers, train conductors, farmers, horse specialists and more! We also have a willing dev team to assist you in your ideas for other mechanical WLs!
- Custom scripts that are always evolving! Alongside scripts such as Murphy’s Creator, we also have a number of in-house scripts that are consistently being worked on to ensure a smooth roleplay experience!
- Exemplary storytelling! Now, we recognize that almost every heavy roleplay server in existence insists that this is the case, but we have a unique ruleset and dedicated staff team that are organized to actually encourage this. We are also currently working out the kinks for a storyteller role similar to the function of a game master, who will be on hand to assist you in your roleplay endeavors! Even without such a thing, we have planted the seeds for many consistent storylines in tune with the server’s thematic direction.
- The most responsive and passionate dev team on text RedM! Our staff does not let bureaucracy weigh them down. You can be assured that when you need assistance, they will be there to help you with whatever you need. 1874 staff avoids micromanagement of their playerbase and instead focuses directly on helping everyone be the best roleplayers they can be.
- A focus on historicity! Most RedM servers treat the historical setting as a backdrop that has very little real bearing on themes, visuals or standards. We push to be the direct opposite of that. The realities of frontier history is something we put great weight into properly portraying, with natural guardrails in terms of mechanics and sensitivities.
