Castaway was founded in May 2023, driven towards building a community that encourages quality, story-driven roleplay. We took our experiences from numerous servers and worked towards creating a server that allows for high-quality, serious roleplay. We are community-based, and encourage our community to give suggestions to allow us to get an idea of what we should add to allow for better, enjoyable roleplay! We also have an active staff and dev team who work consistently behind the scenes, along with roleplaying right beside the rest of the community.
We launched Castaway 3.0 on 3/10/2024, and we are constantly making changes and adding new things to the server! With 3.0 came an entire overhaul, including switching from ESX to QBCore, adding TONS of new things to the server. Every server needs some activities, and we definitely have taken that into account! We are always looking for suggestions for new activities, though we do have some in place already, and MORE to come in the future!

We understand that servers need a balance between PD, crim, and civ RP, and we make it our goal to maintain that balance. We are constantly evolving, and watching for any changes we need to make. Our PD has an aim to maintain a balance of serious and fun RP, keeping in mind that experiences should be fun for those involved! We have put people in place to encourage that, and are always looking for more to join our PD team!
Our EMS team is under new management as well, and very active! Every interaction with EMS is enjoyable, as their aim is strategic scenario RP. They also have great pay and rank up opportunities!
If working as an officer or an EMS isn’t your style, we also have player-owned businesses that can be applied for! Along with our existing businesses, we also allow players to put in proposals for businesses that are up for grabs. If you’ve wanted to be a big-time CEO, maybe this is your chance!
