So has the day come that FiveM only allows ZAP Hosting servers. That’s the only server i can find on the list.
So you can only get a server from ZAP Hosting now. Which means everyone outsdide of Europe are royally fucked. Unless you want to pay a shit tone for a dedicated box. Good fucking job.

You don’t need a “dedicated box”. Have you heard of virtual private servers?! They’re like… not even $10 monthly. Heck! Even cheaper than what Zap could offer!
Plus, this rule was put in place just about a year ago. So I think you’re a bit late to the party.

Sure you can set up a VPS on linux for $10 and spend the next 3 months learning commands, and your saying that you can’t use anything but ZAP hosting for over a about a year now?
I have a windows VPS for $12 a month.
For the past year, according to the FiveM terms of service, this is correct. In fact, prior to August of 2017, Zap wasn’t even allowed either.
So for the last year 90% of servers have been breaking the terms of service. Plus finding a cheap windows vps that would run fivem in Australia is impossible. So to be able to host a server in Australia you have to spend a lot more. So what makes ZAP special? GTX gaming doesn’t do anything differently and you can actually set it up were you want.
This is correct. The CitizenFX Collective have also reached out to various providers regarding that, to which they were ignored.
OVH has a server in Sydney. They offer a windows VPS at about 20 AUD monthly. (Edit: I just realized the option for Sydney was greyed out for that) Of course, you are not limited to this provider, and can search around for others.
They actually reached out to FiveM regarding the terms of service. Something nobody else has done. Beyond that, I am not sure. I was not involved.
OK well thank you for your help. Sorry if i got angry it’s just it is fairly dumb that there is basically one option for a server if you don’t want a .VPS or dedicated box or machine.

OVH don’t offer a windows VPS in Australia you can get one fore $20 AUD just not in Australia. There Sydney location doesn’t support it or something.

I do agree that its shit that ZAP Hosting is the only “allowed” provider for FiveM hosting. I really dont understand the reason for this, but its what the developers have decided. Whether other hosting providers can get in contact with the FiveM team and ask to also have permission to host FiveM game servers is something they may need to confirm. If other hosting companies can’t do this, then that gives Zap Hosting an unfair monopoly and can basically charge whatever they want and be the only choice for people who don’t want to run their own VPS or dedicated server.

We are currently in contact with CPDRS discussing a possibility of extending our control panel with their panel/features. We provide a Livechat. Not ideal for US customers because we are online from 10AM - 10PM (CET) but better than no live chat 
Last but not least our FiveM servers are much cheaper than from these other unauthorized GSPs.
Yes, USA servers are more expensive then europe servers (due to datacenter costs, traffic, etc.), but our USA servers will not be more than 10% expensive than our EU servers.

Ok, today i noticed my and every other server popped back on the list, i don’t no if that is permanent. I did a straw poll on our community to see if they would rather go with ZAP hosting and continue with aussie RP or american RP so far the results are even but it won’t matter if the servers stay on the list permanently.
So if you ordered a EU server can you switch to USA down the road?
yes, simply use our up-/downgrade button. There the location can be changed from the middle of next week. Fully automated in a few minutes, without data loss. The database is also migrated to the target location.
Zap-Hosting is there a possible add a subuser so your friend can help develope?
