Xbox Elite Controller with FiveM issues

Hello,
I’m having issues with keybind mapping with my xbox elite controller.

I have used steam big picture to change the mapping of the paddles on the controller, but when I launch FiveM on any server my keybinds are ignored.
Presumably my keybinds are ignored because I’m running GTA thru FiveM, not steam but I can’t find a solution to make the controller work as I want it to.

Does anyone know of a solution to solve this so that my controller mapping changes are used by FiveM?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Just use reWASD (https://www.rewasd.com/) works very well. you might have to get a license to get the paddles to do what you would like though.

Thank you, I’ll take a look at that one. Cheers.

How about using the actual Xbox Accessories software that’s meant for use with the controller? :stuck_out_tongue:

I tried that, but microsoft seem to want several items of software to be installed - none of which I want or need - before I can change anything on the controller.

I’ve just tested this out, and to close off the topic for anyone who has similar issues in the future.

Xbox accessories allows limited changes to the paddles, but does not seem to allow mapping of keyboard/keys to the paddles.
reWASD does allow mapping of keys to the paddles and does work with FiveM.
reWASD solved my problems. Thanks for the replies on this topic, very much appreciated.
