I’m willing to bet that 99% of fivem communities out there are run by individuals who have not even set foot within the front seat a squad car or EMS vehicle. I mean yeah, we pretend we are cops or criminals - after all, that’s what Roleplay is by definition, however, some people fake it way more than what should be accepted.
Honestly, look at arguably the largest fivem community out there: Department of Justice Roleplay. Their owner and operator: Polecat324 while a funny guy, is a security guard who seems to derive the entirety of his law enforcement knowledge from re-runs of Cops and LivePD. Sure he looks the part but at the end of the day, he is not a sworn officer. It’s also not just him as only a handful of members are actual law enforcement officers, and this is out of the thousands of members within the community.
What I’m getting at here is the true meaning of a community. If you ask Google you get: “A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common”.
Now, we all love being police, running from the police or even assisting the police as EMS within the fictional world of San Andreas, so why would we associate yourselves with individuals who, although knowledgeable are not genuine?
Welcome to the State of San Andreas Roleplay Community.
We have gone to great lengths to ensure all members of command staff within each department are genuine officers, EMTs or Firefighters. Anyone can claim legitimacy, however, we all know one another on a very personal basis. Interestingly enough, I was recruited to SOSAERP by one of the owners, a law enforcement officer who I had met completely by chance.
That’s what we’re really about. Being Genuine to ourselves and our players.
With over 400 registered members and counting, we are still growing and we’d love to have you on board. Visit us at: www.sosaerp.com
