I am currently using Windows 8 as an OS, and it will NOT run FiveM at all. I have went through a few people that know a decent amount about FiveM and they all informed me of deleting a scripthookv.dll . Well, I don’t have one in my GTA V folder and secondly, if I delete it in FiveM app-data, it insta crashed my game. Below are some screenshots on what happens.
Note: It loads social club for about five seconds and then shows the second picture with “Stopped Working”
Hi Pillsbury,
You have to have the FiveM app-data that is where everything is, so get that back. To play FiveM you basically have to be on the latest version of windows as the coders and creators of the code for FiveM code it using the latest version of windows meaning that parts of the code will not be understood within older versions of windows. So this means that you would have to have the latest version of windows to actually play FiveM properly. The developers of FiveM just assume that everyone would be playing or have windows 10 and keep it updated.
If you can update to windows 10 if not get help from higher up.
