Where is the best place to rent a server from to use for a US FiveM server?

This will be my first server. I am all new to this. But I am wondering what server provider will be a good one to look at.

Zap hosting is the only Authorized GSP. Ovh is good for whatever else you are looking for when it comes to Dedi’s/VPS’

i use nfo vps personally works good (i don’t recommend a game server)

For Linodes VPS what should I expect for cost?

You can start at $5 (Fine for FiveM) and Upgrade as you go. I have a more expencive one as I hosts other things as well but the $5 is fine for a FiveM server.

Ok so if I am planning on making a roleplay RPDFR style 5 will do for prep. What is the normal cost for lets say a 32 person server. Also I assume you are talking about this? https://welcome.linode.com/

So I assume any server you purchase you have to set up directory files and all that first correct and access with FTP

Yes would would have to set u files for FiveM. Remember its a VPS which also has a lot more freedom) and meaning you would have to set everything up for FiveM.

Its pretty simple to set up on a VPS. I use Ubuntu 17 for the Linux OS. You can follow these steps to set up.

IF you’re looking for extremly cheap there is aruba cloud(€1/month) but I also use linode.

FiveM servers can literally run on ancient hardware generally lag free I’ve found.
