What is the issue you’re having?

Hello, I have a problem with FiveM. I get error 506 - Failure connection to Rockstar Game Launcher. My setup: Windows 11, GTA V Legacy on Steam, had PlanetVPN installed (now uninstalled). FiveM opens but when I try to join a server it asks for restart and after restart I get error 506. Please help!

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

Cleared FiveM cache, reinstalled Rockstar Launcher, reinstalled FiveM, flushed DNS, changed DNS to Google 8.8.8.8, uninstalled PlanetVPN, reset winsock

I sent the solution to this post but the forums admins been keeping me out, saying that my reply is pending approval. thats some bs if you ask me. why shouldn’t people just offer supporrt to others without so much bureaucratic procedures.

Restart your modem and router

This is almost always a stale Rockstar entitlement token, not your install — which is why reinstalling and clearing cache don’t touch it. Fully close FiveM and the Rockstar Games Launcher (check Task Manager for leftover processes), then delete everything inside %localappdata%\DigitalEntitlements and the file %appdata%\CitizenFX\ros_id.dat, launch GTA V once through the Rockstar Launcher to story mode, then start FiveM. Also make sure Windows date/time is on auto-sync and that neither FiveM nor the launcher is set to run as administrator — both quietly break the Rockstar handshake.
