What is p0, p1, float etc?

Hey I tried now over 2 days to figure this out , but it is just impossible to figure it out when your starting with lua…

So here are some examples:
what is ‘char*’
what is ‘float’
what is ‘p0’ and everything simillar
what exactly is ‘int’
and what is ‘BOOL’

thanks for help, I just don’t want to spend my time with that anymore while I want to use these natives.

(And before someone is going to rage or something: I know the basics of lua, look at my resources that I already did and yes I used the search function of fivem and yes I took a look into google and found exactly nothing, so most regards :))

char* is a string
float is a decimal number like 0.0
p0 is the first argument like p0, p1, 02

int is an integer (number)
bool is true or false

Hello! So I can do my best to explain for a Lua standpoint.

char is a string - “CHAR_HERE”

float is a value with a decimal place - 1.0 or 100.0

It is just telling you which parameter it is but sometimes in the Natives DB can be weird at times. Most people start by putting a 0 or a 1 in its place unless in the native description it says what to use. As I see sometimes it won’t give you a definition. Otherwise use its definition (char, int, string, float)

int is an integer without a decimal place - 1 or 100

bool is a true or false statement

could you help by that:

This is my actual problem it does not change anything when I use p0 to 0 or 1 or anything else and it gives me always the ‘global’ error, no difference between server.lua and client.lua…

am I stupid and I’m doing something extremly false or could it be that this native does not work?

What are you trying to do with that. Its passing an error because you are passing p0 and plus it it says it takes two arguments.

Any _GET_CONTENT_FILE_VERSION(Any p0, Any p1);

But what are you expecting it to return? It doesn’t return like your script version or anything like that. Plus it doesn’t define what it returns so who knows if it returns anything.

What I want to get is the version of gta V, but Well it looks like this will not work like i thought it should …

Not sure if that’s possible i only see GetOnlineVersion() but… i don’t think it would make any sense as fivem requires latest gta5 version so everyone would have the same version

Well If everyone has the same version, I can solve this easily by updating the version on myself. Thanks for your answer
