What host are you using?

Hi all,

I am going to be replacing Zap-Hosting with a dedicated server for my community. Just curious as to who you all use for your host?

My community has 3 servers, so I’m looking for recommendations on specs of a server. I’m not exactly sure how taxing FiveM is on resources.

FiveM is in general pretty light on resources. Your most important component is going to be network speed/bandwidth. Any decent VPS will suffice. I’m currently using two Linode instances, one for the database (I use this also for several website not FiveM related) and one for just FiveM. You’ll probably want SSDs too, which again, most decent VPSs have.

I switched to Hetzner recently, if you are in EU, they are a very reliable german hosting company. 20GB NVMe SSD, 2gb ram, DDoS protection for 2.49/m. Interface is similar to DigitalOceans’, which is also a good choice.

I can also recommend VPS Dime; $7/m 6gb ram, 4 shared vCPU.

[SOLVED] VPS (or dedicated) Server Hosting

From my experience FiveM mainly needs a good internet connection. I use linode, they are a great company, their servers are great and has even better uptime. I have had my VPS for a year and it only ever has gone down once for security maintenance. I currently use their $20 VPS but I did have the $5 back in the day which worked fine until I started TeamSpeak servers and websites etc. I do run 3 (4 if dev is up) FiveM servers off my $20 plan plus multiple websites, databases and 2 TeamSpeak’s an…

Isn’t 1vCPU going to crash the cmd at server start? It already did that for me with 2vCPU’s
