[VORP] Crowe Herbs - Herbalism Journal & World Harvesting System

Crowe Herbs brings structured herbalism to RedM/VORP with native world plants, fixed orchard and custom harvest nodes, shared regrowth, per-character plant knowledge, and a dedicated herbalism journal. It is built for servers that want gathering to feel like exploration and study instead of simple pickup spam, while still giving owners editable plant catalogs, reward control, optional tool requirements, and flexible integrations.

Key Features

  • Multi-Stage Plant Knowledge: Players progress through Seen, Sampled, Identified, and Mastered for each herb.

  • Dedicated Herbalism Journal: Study progress, field notes, tracked species, and discovery status are all handled through a journal-focused UI.

  • Wild & Fixed Harvesting: Supports native world plant pickup alongside fixed berry patches, orchards, and other custom node locations.

  • Shared Regrowth: Fixed nodes deplete and regrow on shared timers across the server.

  • Tracker Mode: Highlight nearby valid herb targets while exploring the world.

  • Weighted Reward Bundles: Configure guaranteed drops, chance rolls, weighted pools, and bonus outcomes.

  • Optional Tool Requirements: Plants can require the right tool, with configurable consume-on-success behavior.

  • Region Pools & Blacklist Zones: Control where herbs appear and how gathering routes are shaped across the map.

  • Optional Integrations: Supports optional Crowe progress, notification, and reputation hooks with fallback behavior where applicable.

  • Editable Plant Catalogs: Buyers can edit public plant profiles, rewards, names, and fixed coordinates without touching protected runtime files.

  • Journal Item & Fallback Commands: Ships with the herbalism_journal item while still supporting /herbjournal and /herbstudy [herb] fallback access.

  • oxmysql

  • crowe_libs

  • vorp_inventory (recommended)

  • crowe_progress (optional)

  • crowe_notification (optional)

  • crowe_reputation (optional)

  2. Import install.sql into your database.

  3. Import inventory_items.sql if you want to register the included herbalism journal item.

  4. Copy inventory_images/herbalism_journal.png into your inventory image folder if your inventory requires manual image placement.

  5. Restart vorp_inventory after importing item SQL so the item cache reloads cleanly.

  6. Ensure your dependencies start before crowe_herbs.

  7. Add ensure crowe_herbs to your server config.

  8. Configure behavior, integrations, regions, blacklist zones, and public catalog data in config.lua and shared/catalog/*.lua.
