I got a visualsettings.dat file and before the update it was working fine. After the update it began not to work, then I believed it must have gotten overwrited by the update so I replaced it again, and now it no longer works. This is making my roleplay experience with my community a bit boring. If anybody can help me with this it would be wonderful.
Where did you install it?
Mine sits in \FiveM.app\citizen\common\data and works just fine.
Yes, mine sits in there as well yet it doesnt work. It was sitting in there fine before the update and now it no longer works. Perhaps I may need to reinstall?

If you edit your own, the settings to change are now
car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on and
car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on
