Just made a massive content update. Here’s the changelog:
MASSIVE CONTENT UPDATE, April 1st 2022
@everyone I am proud to announce a new era for Vandal City!
There was a lot of framework upgrades that we did behind the scenes that have greatly increased performance, as well as opened the door for some really cool ways of doing things. We have a lot more planned updates in the works so don’t think this is all we’re doing!

[Gameplay]
• You no longer lose items when dying, only cash/dirty money. Weapons will lose some durability
• New inventory system. Much smoother UI. Hotkey item slots are saved.
• Weapons have serial numbers if purchased legally and they are tied to the character
• Weapons have a durability
• Hotwiring and lockpicking skill checks, press the number in the middle of the circle to complete
• Territories now display a graffiti on the walls of the gang that owns it instead of the debug text in the corner
• New MDT and alert system with built in dispatch for PD (dispatcher job?)
• Police receive calls from locals when players are excessively speeding
• All vehicles are capped at 199 MPH
• Slowed down and balanced all PD cars (hence why the custom cars are disabled briefly)
• New LS Customs with UI Menu
• New Clothing (5 gigs worth)
• Banks now have detailed transaction history
• ATM pin numbers must be set/changed at the bank
• New evidence system with forensics lab (you need a flashlight to find evidence)
• Changed the radial menu, default G but can be changed in keybinds
[Items]
• Added phone item
• Added physical drivers/weapons license item
• Added photo camera that saves pictures as items
• Added photo album to store the photos
• Added Laptop (electronics store) to access the vehicle boosting job
• Added Disabler (crafting) to disable the trackers on boosted vehicles
• Parachute is now an item that needs to be used to set a parachute on your character
[Housing]
• Houses have a fridge inventory
• Houses slots and weight scale with price
• A lot of new furniture items, including functional pool tables (you need a pool cue rack as well!)
[Jobs]
• Job menu (in the radial menu) allows you to switch between previous jobs (so you don’t have to keep going to the job center)
• (Illegal) Vehicle boosting: get a laptop (from electronics store) and craft a disabler (if you want to disable the tracker)
- Gain credits that can be used to scratch a VIN from a boosted vehicle, allowing you to keep it
• (Legal) Garbage Job has been added (one person’s trash is another person’s treasure)
• Legal jobs received about a 20% pay increase
[Fixes]
• Fixed GSR to properly go away on it’s own and fixed cleaning in water loading bar
• Moved the plate scanner to reference new MDT for bolos and ownership
• Swimming now causes your phone and radio to be disabled
[Warehouses]
Players can purchase warehouses the same way they buy houses, only these allow you to own equipment that can process certain raw materials straight into their finished product for selling.
• Purchase a Fabricator to be able to process wool, gas and stone in large quantities
• Purchase an Automator to process the material in the Warehouse stash automatically, every hour
• Warehouses need to purchase upgrades to be able to process the chosen material
• Warehouses give an increased yield to the finished product (more than if you were to do it at the job sites)
• There are 3 types of Warehouses with varying amounts of upgrades allowed. Small (1 upgrade), Medium (2 upgrades), Large (3 upgrades)
• Raw materials must be placed in the Warehouse stash in order for the fabricator/automator to process it

• VC Tuners and their car upgrades
• Custom cars, they will slowly be added back throughout the following week (with some new ones)
