Hello folks!
I’m hoping you can help me out as I’m sure I’m simply doing something wrong. I downloaded the LSPD Ford Raptor, which looks awesome!
However, it didn’t come with any .meta files so I made them myself by copy/pasting from another add-on vehicle.
Unfortunately that didn’t work. The vehicle spawns in, works great, but I have no police sirens or lights. When I press Q (I’m using LuxeArt sirens) it simply goes to the civilian radio stations.
I did ensure that the vehicle class is VC_Emergency. I was hoping someone could help point out my mistake so I can learn from it, and also possible share this awesome vehicle for others.

Hiya buddy, because it’s an addon vehicle you’re going to need to add a carcols file, do you have one? I’ve probably got one you can use if not

Good call! I can’t believe I missed that.
Unfortunately it still doesn’t work, though. 
I updated the __resource.lua but it didn’t seem to help.
I do not have a carcols file for this vehicle. I was afraid to copy/paste one from one of my other LSPD vehicles because of the way it is a truck and I’m unfamiliar with how the carcols file actually works.

I got it working buddy, although I noticed a few things broken on the model. I changed the spawn name from raptor to policeraptor because it was interfering with the BF Raptor.

Well, we’re one step closer!
I used your .zip file, and the Raptor loaded in with very dark tint on the windows and headlights. The siren SOUNDS are working, however no lights.

Did you copy the meta directly or did you edit it? It was working fine for me, try turning it off in a trainer?
I copied it directly over and started the resource up.
I changed nothing. It seems like the “tint” is randomized every time I select the vehicle, and again I do get the siren sounds, however I don’t get the lights.

So, half the time, when selecting the livery it spawns with BLACK tint over the windshield and headlights… too dark for my taste.
Then if I reselect it, it’s almost as if there’s another livery with the perfect amount of tint. Any chance you know how to remove the EXTRA dark option and restrict it to simply the other option being the only option?

True. But when you select it in your car/police shop, do you have the issue where it sometimes will spawn with very black tint over the windshield/headlights/windows?
Curious if it’s a resource I have or just the way cars spawn. I know there’s a default tint value in the vehicles.meta but that looks like the correct value that shows up the “other” half of the time.

When I spawn it through Lambda menu it works fine so I’m going to hazard a guess and say it’s your vehicle spawning script. You could check through the script to see if it sets tint at any point, if not you could force tint to 0 upon spawn
Yup, I changed the tint value to the clear value and it seemed to fix the issue.
