was following a you tube install video, i just changed that so it’s not in the gta folder after a fresh install of gta v as well. same problem. maybe latest windows 10 update error?
as above if i start gta 5 as in run the game, then click the fivem exe, the fivem will run but again it crashes once i have selected a server. it starts to download the server files i take it, then crash’s again. i have tried just loading the gta v game and selecting storey mode with the same effect i havn’t tried the online mode for gta just in case the game gets banned.
if thats any help to any one who may be able to fix this issue.
If you’re using MSI Afterburner, Rivatuner Statistics Server (RTSS) or any other program that captures the screen and requires to do hooks on certain directx stuff, make sure the program is closed and only launch it once the game is running. Even screen capturing applications like raptr cause the game to crash.
Also, next time it crashes, do please provide a Crash ID, they’re really helpful when it comes to figuring out these issues.

furher update to what i have tried so far:
-re install win 10
-re install gta v
-delanti virus, turn off microsoft crap
-turn off any microsoft uac
re download and instal fivem exe from here (following the step’s)
run fivem same problem.
removed the gtavlauncher.exe from the above file location and replaced it to the gtav folder, then run fivem to no avail.
doubleclicked the gtalauncher.exe in the fivem cache folder it says gta is not installed.
so i tried evrything that i can possibly think of hopefully some one can help me out.
UPDATE:
ok after a few days of piss arsing around i now have this running. this is how i got it running:
formatted c drive completely
complete install of win 10 and visual basic (had the could not load citezen.dll) thanks to the poster of that fix.
bit the bullet and purchased the rockstar version
now working.
as to what was causing the issue i don’t know but to those that have tried to help me with this thank you very much your help was very much appreicated.

update of the update
i believe i have found the cause of the errorr : ad muncher lmao so simple so long.
if you can’t get fivem to go make sure ad muncher is not installed.
(once i re formatted fivem ran, once i installed ad muncher same problem so hopefully some else can learn from my mistake)
