Too high delay (ping) on localhost and any server

A fairly annoying problem with FiveM is the increased ping from normal. I noticed that on the development server I have on my own computer I have 15 ping delays. Since I have a server set up on my own computer, I should have a maximum of 3/5 delay (ping). This problem can be felt on every FiveM server, you just have 15 pings more than you should be. Not only does the delay (ping) play a very important role in FiveM, but you also have to take into account the increased delay.

Translator, so i’m from Poland

You’re running at 60 FPS (vsync’d?), network time is linked to frame time, 60 FPS is ~16ms, so this is… somewhat normal?

Not sure what this means, either:

like, ?!

This also isn’t a bug report so I’ve moved it to FiveM Discussion.

So how can I reduce the latency when I limit my FPS to 60?

What is the result you are expecting from ‘reducing the latency’?

In the attached screenshot I am attaching what my delay looks like in the case of disabled v-sync. This is my real delay, which I get the same by typing ping 51.77.44.72 in the Windows console

The problem is that the graphics card is boiling with synchronization turned off

Can someone explain to me how this is happening? Since framerate matters to ping, I haven’t seen anything like this in any game :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

depending on your GPU the temps would be pretty normal otherwise you can use something like MSI Afterburner and set a more aggressive fan curve or perhaps it just needs a good cleaning.

Otherwise things look pretty normal and having vsync on or off shouldnt effect latency like that… at least i have never seen it effect it.
