What To Expect
The City of Angels Recruitment Process Information:
Welcome to The City of Angels community! Applications are currently “OPEN”, meaning you are now able to apply. If you apply, the TCOA recruitment team will review your application and decide if you are good for the team, and good/ mature enough to be Leo/staff in the community.
If your application is accepted, you will need to complete a verbal interview in the provided voice channels. The interview will a quick review on your application, and also the staff/dept head member will give you scenarios.
If you pass the interview phase, you will be required to complete a ride along. This is where you will learn the basics from learning how to talk on the radio to understanding how to conduct traffic stops. The ride alongs are 45 minutes long, 15 minutes of your FTO driving, using the radio, and CAD. After the 15 minutes, you will be required to drive and use the radio and the CAD. After your ride along is over, you will then be able to patrol on your own, Congratulations!
your FTO can extend the ride along if necessary.
