Startup Takes 6.5 minutes

When I first start FiveM, it will take over 6 minutes to start the game. It constantly gets stuck on “Invoking
audNorthAudioEngine INIT_SESSION init (3 of 5)”. It will eventually load it correctly, and once the application is completely in memory I have no problem going to other servers, but every initial boot is over 6 minutes. Can I please get some help on this?

Do you have any plugins/mods installed in your FiveM / FiveM Application Data / plugins/ folder?
If so try to remove them and see if that works. Also have you restarted your computer after you’ve installed FiveM? Because a friend of mine couldn’t join any servers, but after he rebooted his PC he had no issues.

Restarting was the first thing I attempted. This also occurred with a fresh GTA install and FiveM install. I did attempt to delete the plugins just to make sure that it didn’t fix the issue this time, but it is still happening.

I also attempted to close all unnecessary software (MSI Afterburner, Intel Turbo, etc), still the same issue.

Well I’m sorry but I don’t know what to do in that case. Hopefully the dev team finds the issue and is able to resolve it.

Just an update, This morning I went into my registry, did a search for FiveM, and deleted everything that wasn’t a firewall exemption, and one thing that appeared to be part of enumeration. I also uninstalled FiveM and Grand Theft Auto 5. Reinstalled GTA 5, FiveM, attempted to connect to my local server (VIA loop-back) and an outside server. I even connected to the outside server 2 times in a row, hoping it would cache something. All of this didn’t help me, it still takes me over 6 minutes to connect to a server during initial boot.

My next step is to get a friend that has a similar setup, same processor, no SLI but same GPU, same OS and close to the same router/ISP connection. If he has the same issue, I think I will leave it to the DEVS to hopefully come up with something for me.

I figured it out. All my music was on a NAS, and my GTA Self Radio was setup to us an mklink to this NAS. In single player, it maps it one time. Apparently FiveM remaps it each initial boot.
