$5 to change the pop up with the keybind?

[Release] Slash Tires - FiveM Resource Development & Modding / Releases - Cfx.re Community
[Fivem] Slash Tires script by xander1998 - YouTube

Hello!

It’s not “$5 to change the pop up with the keybind”, in fact, this script has many improvements and features that Xander’s script doesn’t have.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of what this script has that Xander’s doesn’t:

  • Server-side checks and logs
  • Support for the 3 biggest targeting solutions
  • Keybindable keys (keymapping)
  • Controller support (as in shows a controller button if you use a controller rather than just always showing a key)
  • Has a sound when the tire is slashed
  • Effects nearby peds (makes them react when a tire is slashed)
  • Has the option to potentially break the weapon you use
  • Uses more up-to-date coding practices (Xander’s script is 5 years old, and hasn’t been maintained since)
  • Animation is better smoothed out (the character doesn’t stand all the way up if they are crouched etc.)

On top of all of that, I would like to mention the big performance difference between the scripts.

Xander’s runs a 0.04ms to 0.10ms while just idling (no weapon that can slash in hand)

While this script idles at 0.00ms.

That’s a pretty big difference.

What is the resmon when you hold a knife/slash a tire look like?

0.00 ms when just having a knife out, if you are close to a vehicle it might go up to 0.01 ms. And when very close it goes to 0.03 ms if you have the prompts.

If you use a 3rd eye/target script, you’ll have 0.0 ms with the exception of when you slash a tire.
