Hey,
I seem to be having quite a few issues getting the server to startup smoothly on my Debian 9 dedicated server. The server starts up, mods are loading, and I can join with no issue…but the console is being spammed with errors and many of the mods are not functioning correctly. To be honest, I am not super experienced with Linux, but can do a decent job navigating and managing through ssh. But I feel as though I may have missed something which all started when trying to install EssentialsMode and ESX. It started with SSL Authentication errors from the MySQL. I installed the latest Mono and updated the certificates and now I am getting spams from Mono.Btls.MonoBtlsSsl.mono_btls_ssl_connect?
As mentioned, some of the mods that depend on the database don’t seem to be making the connection and throwing errors. I’m not familiar with a lot of the resources you’re using. Is the resource Async another version of mysql-async? If so, running two versions of that could cause problems, I’d think.
You may find some information about it inside the resource, perhaps a readme.md file.
Hm, the requirements for ESX listed both mysql-async and async, so installed both. https://github.com/ESX-Org/es_extended
I will try disabling async and test it out.
That does appear to be the cause of the large stacktrace, as removing the mod got rid of it. However ESX is now saying it’s missing a dependency ‘async’. Perhaps someone who knows async can help me figure out why it is throwing errors.
Nevermind, re-added async and now all of the errors in the console are gone. However when I try to connect it is getting stuck on the Handshake. Never had issues connecting to the server before

Now that your server is starting up and the issue has moved to include the client application, it would be a good time to paste your CitizenFX.log file. Maybe we’ll find something in there:
It’s location is usually C:\Users<user>\AppData(this is a hidden directory)\Local\FiveM\FiveM.app(this directory visually shows as "FiveM Application Data)
Paste that (use pastebin.com or similar if it’s too large to paste inline) and someone should be able to help.

So I went to start the server today and those errors from before popped up again. I did the same thing as before(Deleted async start server, stop server, add async) and no errors again. But it’s obviously still lurking, idk.

Console doesn’t show anything when I try to join. No errors, no player connected, just sits at the Loaded System.Threading.Tasks.Extensions and Loaded System.Buffers thing from above. Having the server up for a bit now, I am not seeing any heartbeats either…

Hi there Alienate,
I’m not sure I see any deal breakers on the log. I’ve got a couple questions, though. First, has this server ever run successfully? Was it the addition of any resources that caused this or is this a brand new server?
Secondly, were you installing this as a resource “pack” or were you installing the resources individually?
My thought is that even if we can’t figure out this install, I can get a server setup that you’re looking for running on my machine. I’ve got 6 different servers running on a Deb stretch machine.

The server is a brand new allocation thus I have had to install everything to get it going. I think at first I got a little squirrly and just threw a ton of mods in and hoped for the best. The server did start and I was able to join it. But many of the mods didn’t work and the console was spammed with errors. So I took a different approach, and started fresh and installed mods one at a time. Right now all I have are ESX mods for the most part and it’s still stalling at the handshake, so I’ll try to narrow it down.
Do you have discord? Perhaps we can chat while I try to debug this.
Thanks for the help m8. So I dropped the database and re-imported all the sql files and now everything works…lol
