This has been happening for about a year and I want to solve it, it is so annoying. When I started playing Fivem this wasn’t happening and now all of a sudden downloading a server takes 20 mins. I have a very good internet connection btw.

I see many people with the same problem if you search on the forum but none are solved. Maybe it is a fivem bug?

Maybe it’s the servers you’re playing (‘All of them’ is not very specific) using an older server build?

Sometimes depending on the servers I play on it is an older/newer build but it happens on all servers, yes, ALL OF THEM I mean it, I have tried random servers, many many and they all do the same thing

Does this also go for “RSM FREEROAM” or “TheIvaneh Community Server”?

Please do, yes, to see if it’s a client thing or a server thing - both these servers I believe use a “fast download” content delivery system so if it’s a client issue it should still be slow.

I tried RSM and this is very fast took 2 seconds :open_mouth: how do I get this on all servers

The server owner would have to set such a thing up - the latest recommended FXServer update should be a bit faster than older ones already but those two servers I believe are using Cloudflare file caching… there’s some guides on the forums for server owners to follow I think.

But why did it download very fast back in the day but now it is so slow for me? My friend also has good download speeds on the servers that mine has slow downloads on

The Download Speed Thing is depends on many factors

  1. Server Port Speed
  2. Server Current Ongoing bandwidth
  3. FX server version
  4. File Caching etc…cdn thing…
  5. last thing, your distance location to the server hosting,
    Your ISP Connection quality to current Server Location

You can trace poor connection route trough mtr,traceroute or ping. check if there is a packetloss…
