Server using maximum RAM

Hello.

My server is exploiting the maximum RAM usage (8GB Ram),
When players starting to join the server the RAM increase too %99 usage and I have to restart the server every hour.

What could be the issue or atleast how can I detect/trace it ?

Hey there @L1R,

Depending on your setup, you can check your RAM usage through Windows Task Manager (if that’s the operating system your server is running):

Press CTRL, ALT and DEL
Select Task Manager
Select Memory
Select Resource Monitor

In the resource monitor, you should be able to see what program (resource) is taking up the most memory. It may be that your server is causing it or there might be an underlying issue on your server.

If the cause is indeed your server, you can then go ahead and analyse each resource on your server through the profiler to boil down to the cause.

Hey.
I have something like 60-65 players online and the Memory Usage on %70 (5.6/8.0 GB)
Is it normal or it should be less more?

I guess it ultimately depends on what your server is running, how many mods etc.

For general futureproofing purposes, I would upgrade it to 16GB and ensure I have an excellent quad core processor to avoid 99% of problems.
