SDN Traffic 80s — Lore-Friendly

:joystick: SDN Traffic 80s

You built a retro server. :palm_tree: The map’s set, the radio’s playing synth, your players rolled up in their classics… and then a 200k modern supercar blasts past and kills the whole vibe. :face_with_steam_from_nose:

SDN Traffic 80s fixes that in one install. :sparkles:

It pulls every modern car, SUV and crotch-rocket out of the ambient pool and fills your streets with the real deal :automobile::dashing_away: — muscle cars, lowriders, boxy old sedans, rusty pickups, cruiser bikes and chrome land-yachts. Everything driving by is from 1986 or earlier.

:vertical_traffic_light: Pull up to a light and the cars next to you belong to the era.
:motorway: Cruise the back roads and it’s pickups and old vans.
:cityscape_at_dusk: Hit downtown and it finally looks like the decade your server lives in.

No pop-in, no cars vanishing in your mirror. :magic_wand: Modern models are stopped before they ever spawn, and any modern car already parked around the map gets quietly cleared while you’re not looking.

And the best part? :100: It’s 100% vanilla. No vehicle packs, no dependencies, no streaming bloat. Drop it in, restart, done.

There are litterly free popgroups.ymt out there that do exactly the same, why pay 12€ for it lol?

Yeah you’re right that there are free popgroups out there, no denying that.

The thing is most of them just kill traffic or throw random old cars together. Here I sorted every group by hand so nothing past 1986 shows up, and the loader handles the hash properly on load (FIVEM_LOVES_YOU) so no conflicts or flicker.

There’s also a Config.AllStock to bring the original stock back or tweak the ratio without ever touching the ymt by hand. And on top of that it’s tested in game and gets updates.

So the 12 is really for the sorting, the loader, the testing and support, not the raw file.

But honestly if you’re comfortable doing it yourself, go for it. No hard feelings :+1:

Pretty sure the sandking isn’t based on a 1986 model year or older car, more like 2007

If you notice any vehicles in the pack that aren’t consistent with the theme, feel free to contact me on Discord.
I’ll be happy to provide support and release updates as needed to keep the project consistent and moving forward. :star:

I’ve already made my own popgroups just like this a few years ago- I don’t own yours. But on the last of the TWO screenshots you showcased there are a total of 6 cars and two of them are from the '00s. Did you even look at the scene you screenshotted?

I understand your point, but the screenshots are not meant to represent the entire vehicle pool. They only show a small part of the traffic system.

With more than 700+ native vehicles available in GTA, it’s impossible to make every single spawn perfectly match one specific era without removing a huge amount of variety. The goal of the pack is to heavily shift the traffic toward older vehicles while keeping gameplay variety.

If you notice vehicles that clearly don’t fit the theme, feel free to report them and I can review them for future updates.

I very much understand that they aren’t supposed to showcase the whole vehicle pool and that wasn’t my point. My point is that you are trying to sell a product which is fairly easy to create yourself but with that said this saves the customer the time of having to do it themselves- what I was trying to get at is that you chose to showcase this product with only TWO screenshots, and on one of the screenshots a third of the visible cars are not cars from before 1986 but rather from around 2010 (the “sandking”). One would think that if you were to try and sell a product which modifies the traffic to spawn older cars you would at least think twice regarding what cars that are in picture when taking the showcase-screenshots.

I understand the point about the screenshots, and I can agree that a showcase should represent the product as clearly as possible.

However, I think there is a misunderstanding about the value of the product. Saying that something is “fairly easy to create yourself” only applies if someone has the time, knowledge, and motivation to do it themselves. A lot of customers buy resources not because they are impossible to make, but because they save them hours of work and provide a ready-to-use, maintained solution.

This pack is not only about changing vehicle spawns. I also worked on filtering vehicles, spawn logic, density management, NPC behavior, and removing modern interactions that break the atmosphere, such as NPCs using modern phones or animations that don’t fit the era.

On top of that, the resource is maintained, updated, and I provide adaptations depending on specific customer needs. That work is part of what customers are paying for.

Regarding the screenshots, I understand your criticism and I can improve the showcase. However, judging the entire value of the product based only on two screenshots or saying it is “easy to make” doesn’t really represent the amount of work behind it.
