Running server using port redirect

Our VMs are behind pfsense for our firewall. The ports for servers are setup as required to be accessed.

I have tried using redirects to mask the actual port, but this prevent the server being listed publicly as cfx try to send pings back to the original port rather than the actual server port.

Players are able to connect fine using direct connect method.

Is there anyway to make this work?

# Proxying FiveM Connections using Nginx

As of server version 2377, support was added to FiveM to run a custom streaming proxy similar to cfx.re, but proxying the data connection (UDP) as well. This can be accomplished very easily with nginx acting as a proxy, and you can combine the caching proxy with it.

### Requirements
- Nginx 1.17+ (1.16 absolute minimum, guide tested on 1.17)
- Server with reasonable network bandwidth (500mbps uplink **strongly** suggested)
- FXserver version 2377 or later
- SSL certificate for the domain you're using (highly recommended)

We already have a proxy setup, it does nothing to address my post relating to redirects using pfsense…

why mask the port when you can just use a proxy server?

you can then have a different ip and port 30120 that points to a different port on your server.

We already have a different IP through our firewall network. Thats why I’m asking specifically asking for help with pfsense and firewalls relating to it.
