What is the issue you’re having?
I had to reformat my computer recently and ever since I have been unable to connect Rockstar Social to FiveM. I use the game on two computers, one at work and one at home. The home computer worked correctly by connecting to social club and I could use same characters on both depending on where I was. After the reformat I have not been able to reconnect social club to fivem. Work is still connected, and logs on correctly. There’s no error, nothing from what I can see that woul indicate an issue, it just won’t hook up to social club. I’m able to run GTA Online without FiveM and social club connects correctly and with no issues. I am just unable to add social club back into fivem for some reason. I don’t get prompted to reconnect to social club or anything, just nothing shows up regarding social club.

What are you trying to do?
Connect to social club to be able to play same characters on different PC’s at different times.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled GTA V, FiveM, Social Club. Confirmed that no firewall or AV was active to prevent connection. Completely updated windows to latest updates on both ends.

What did you do to get this issue?

What server did you get this issue on? Be specific and name some, ‘all of them’ by itself isn’t useful!

Additional comments

Is there a certain way of installing the applications that I may have missed? Should it be Steam, game, fivem, and so on? I’ve tried all order of installs that I could think of.

What do you mean by ‘add Social Club to FiveM’?

I mean the Rockstar Social Club. If it’s connected, my gta is linked up to the rockstar account, and I can use two computers at separate times with the same account and characters. Without it, it’s like I’m on two different accounts and I have to create separate characters.

Perhaps you are using the incorrect rockstar account? or different steam accounts… have you tried contacting the server owners?

That’s the thing, I don’t even get prompted to put in my rockstar account in fivem on the reformatted computer. I have asked them and they were able to link my account back up on the reformatted computer without the rockstar social launcher, but that disabled me being able to use it on the second computer. I’ve opened a ticket with them as well regarding that to see if there’s a way to go around it as well, but if I’m able to get this to work, it’ll be easier, as it was working before the reformat.

The server owner probably is using the original license: key instead of the license2: variant, the old one may differ if ‘auto-signed in’ from a Steam game copy.

As a workaround, on both machines, delete %localappdata%\digitalentitlements\38d8f400-aa8a-4784-a9f0-26a08628577e, and then start FiveM without Steam running and sign in with the correct R* account.

That was exactly what I needed.
I never got the prompt for Rockstar to login after reformatting.
I did exactly what you said and now they’re both working.

THANK YOU!
