Rockstar Editor gets stuck at "Downloading assets (0 of 4)" on FiveM clips

What is the issue you’re having?

Hello, I am experiencing an issue where the Rockstar Editor gets permanently stuck on “Downloading assets (0 of 4) (0.00/0.08 MB)” when trying to edit clips recorded on a FiveM server

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

I cleared the FiveM cache, verified game files via Steam, updated paths, and completely removed ENB and ReShade, but the issue still persists.

What server did you get this issue on?

Mannheim RolePlay

That’s indicative of escrowed assets being present in the recording which cannot be loaded via editor, use this:

Hey, thanks for the replies so far. Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me, and the ‘Downloading assets (0 of 4)’ issue still persists.

To add to that: even when I try to export the edited clip, it’s completely stuck on ‘Preparing clip’ (‘Clip wird vorbereitet’) the whole time and nothing happens.

I’m honestly surprised that this problem is so specific – other players don’t seem to run into this editor issue to the same extent. Are there perhaps any other approaches, alternatives, or workarounds I might have missed? Would appreciate any further tips!
