When I launch Rockstar Editor it crash instantly

I had actually just recently found out my issue. Rockstar Editor does not work with servers that have OneSync enabled. So you will have to use Rockstar Editor in a server with OneSync disabled.

I had immediate crashes because of some corrupted, custom map files. Then I was able to use editor via FiveM. OneSync unrelated. Tested on server with/without OneSync activated.

HOWEVER, it still does crash in singleplayer Editor. And that’s a big problem for me! Whoever wants to make a solid videos, you can’t expect us to make it without EVE that doesn’t work under FiveM…

After the latest FiveM update, R editor broke for me. I get to the “loading clip” screen, then it disconnects me from the server and then freezes. This does look like some sort of protection against stealing cached in resources. Since R editor kicks you out of the server youre in and put you in sort of a solo mode but with all the resources from that server so it can still render the clips. But since that doesnt work anymore, it sounds like its a new protection thing…

R* editor refuses to play any footage made in FiveM - crashes immediately

The Rockstar Editor in FiveM writes a custom format that the base game does not understand so that resources can be loaded to make the recording work correctly. If you’re having issues loading your clips in FiveM, try loading into FiveM loadlevel gta5 and then loading your clip as a workaround if your server does not support unloading/reconnecting, alternately report a repro of the map/other resources you use that fail to unload.

You are probably getting errors because of some server loaded map models. That’s confirmed with other players after recent update. Check your client console/crash report to see which ones. You can’t record with them on the server.

Also, it looks like we can’t use that footage in SP anymore at all and it’s F bad for some like me…
