[Request] Ability to disable game DLC from the server-side

It would be nice if server developers could turn off unnecessary R * DLCs. I think that not every project needs all these dozens of DLCs and the game will work a little more stable without a huge amount of content.

Uh? Define ‘unnecessary’.

Also, ‘I think’ doesn’t mean much without actual substantiation, and ‘work a little more stable’ - the game already ‘works stable’ assuming no bad user add-on content or broken end-user systems.

you do know that 1. the dlcs are already in your game??? fivem doesnt stream them fivem uses gta 5 files to run the game 2. you can enable/disable dlcs by using sv_enforcegamebuild 2060 for casino dlc and 2189 for cayo perico

For example, dlc’s are definitely not needed on racing/drift servers, since they use their own cars, tracks and ped models. Why not then turn off these dlc’s and give more space to the user add-on content?

Without the dlc’s, the game can load faster and it won’t store dlc data that is unlikely to be used. I think it can add stability to the game and make more room for bad user add-on content.

Yes I know. But the fivem developers can make the game ignore the DLC and not load them.

I know about that too. I could enter “sv_enforceGameBuild 372” into the server config, but I want to use the actual version of the game.

wtf are you saying? if you dont have sv_enforceGameBuild then you are using the normal version. disabiling wont fix “performance” it will do nothing except remove stuff you obviously have no idea how this game works

‘space’? What?

Yeah, maybe stop ‘thinking’ since that’s absolutely not the case. Broken assets are broken no matter what.

Unless you can find an actual advantage to toggling DLC per server it’s too risky to implement such a thing for ‘just’ loading time improvements - users will likely accidentally toggle such an option and then complain ‘their RP broke’.
