FiveM client folder screenshot
I am trying to install a car modification for schafter3, which is a part of mpapartment DLC. I tried placing the replacement files in [...]\FiveM\FiveM.app\citizen\dlc_mpApartment\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles but it did not work. Where am I supposed to place schafter3.yft, schafter3.ytd and schafter3_hi.yft files?
Originally these files were meant for schafter2 and they work when placed inside [...]\FiveM\FiveM.app\citizen\platform\levels\gta5\vehicles directory.

is this for the FiveM single players? if its for FiveM MP then doing client side vehicles is a bad idea.

It’s for the MP. Why it’s a bad idea? It’s just a model, no handling or anything.

it will conflict with server side models and make the client crash although i do believe the server side ones will override any client side changes.
But regardless client side modding “vehicles and what not” is never a good idea where most things are server sided.

If it will conflict with the game then I will uninstall it. Does anyone know where to put these files?

it conflicts with FiveM in general, no matter where you put it.

I found the solution myself. To anyone interested:
When replacing a DLC vehicle:
- Create a folder
dlc_<dlc name> in FiveM Application Data\citizen
- Open
update/x64/data/dlcpacks/<dlc name>/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles in OpenIV
- If there is no
vehicles.rpf file and there is <something>vehicles.rpf file, place replacement files in: FiveM Application Data\citizen\dlc_<dlc name>\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\<something>vehicles\
- If there is
vehicles.rpf file, place replacement files in FiveM Application Data\citizen\dlc_<dlc name>\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\
Example 1:
My DLC name was mpapartment so I had to put the replacement files in:
[...]\FiveM\FiveM.app\citizen\dlc_mpApartment\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\apartmentvehicles\
Example 2:
Replacing vehicles in patchday2ng update/dlc (OpenIV shows only vehicles.rpf file, no custom folder):
[...]\FiveM\FiveM.app\citizen\dlc_patchday2ng\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\
Be careful: <something> in <something>vehicles.rpf is not always the same as <dlc name>.

If you are asking about the x64a folder from the first screen - I thought this is how you replace files in x64 folders but turns out that you have to place these files in citizen/platform or citizen/common folders. I was replacing textures/graphics.ytd and textures/skydome.ytd.
