@WolfKnight179
Tnx
First of all, wow. I love the work that has been done to this. I do have one question though, does this support take off plate scripts? For example, if I have a vehicle and take off the plate with a command, it would basically blank the plate. Does the radar recognise the blank plate or the original plate with the plate reader?
Been testing this for a while now thanks to @WolfKnight179. Itās an awesome revamp and everyone enjoys it.
The plate reader recognises whatever the current plate on a vehicle is.
Awesome Radar! Works very well, so many options. Just amazing.
Thank you!
Hey @WolfKnight179 do you happen to know if there is a way to save your UI settings so they are persistent instead of having to re-do them each time based on the config default that is set? (A lot of people like different sizes).
UI settings already get saved. Have you deleted the saves folder in the wk_wars2x
folder?
Make sure the folder is there.
Absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for releasing this!
I will make sure that wasnāt deleted. Is that persistent for all clients using the radar? We were testing it last night and 3/90ish LEO were testing and everytime we restarted the resource the UI settings would default back to default settings. Thanks for your prompt reply. I canāt harp enough about how great this is and am truly impressed at your hard work.
Ah okay, UI settings only get loaded when a client joins the game. If youāre restarting the resource then it will overwrite the UI settings until the client rejoins. Also, yes, every client has their own save file.
Gotcha. So once we just let it be without restarting then the UI settings will load from the save. Perfect! Thanks a ton man. Looking forward to any future products you guys work on. I will definitely be following. This is so much like the real thing that I had in my patrol vehicle IRL it gives me warm fuzzies.
Iām glad to hear it! I used a lot of real references so it looks the way it does.
I am very excited to test this script out and replace the old Wraith radar! It looks great just from the screenshots and the user guide is a perfect addition.
Awesome release once again!
Good job, and thanks for showing me how/what, hope to see more comming!
You able to change the saving to use:
https://runtime.fivem.net/doc/natives/#_0x5240DA5A
https://runtime.fivem.net/doc/natives/#_0x21C7A35B
Settings can be stored locally on each persons client and donāt require a server side db
Hereās an example of its use:
I was going to use the KVP functions, but ended up going with the serverside saving. I think Iāll look into it more and maybe switch over!
@WolfKnight179
