Why would you need to make an __resource.lua file?.. Can’t you see it already has fxmanifest.lua file?. You should do some reading up on some FiveM stuff… You should know what’s going on if your tryna run a FiveM or even RedM server
People don’t always stay up to date when it comes to scripting. That’s why we are here to help even if it’s something so simple.
Yes I know, and I’m not tryna be rude about it. This is actually the 1 reply I made today where I was actually ‘tryna’ be helpful by saying he should do some reading on things that are changing if he’s gonna be running a server, that way he can know things for the future. Trust me out of of the few replies I made today this is the only one I actually wasn’t being a dick about. Maybe the way I came off made it seem that way but it wasn’t.
It’s all good. I can completely understand where you’re coming from. I have to deal with way worse from these forums and it can get frustrating sometimes. But that’s what happens when you get into scripting unfortunately.
Bruh really… Out of all the things you could say, you say ‘stick it up my butt’… Honestly I don’t even know what to say about that… But maybe you should read what I said to @ DementedDude then
sorry. i deleted my comment. hope you can forgive me. Its hard for me to make any comments, because I get “those kind of posts” . just negative posts that no one learns anything from. It is not you, its just the toxicity of the internet. I let it get to me and I lashed out against you. If you happen to find some info that shows the difference in __resource.lua and fxmanifest.lua. Pros and Cons. or something like that. It could break the cycle. If not who cares.
**Few Lines** . Releases with only one script file that contains less than 50 lines is considered too simple and is not allowed. We want users to release meaningful, configurable and complete scripts. Everyone starts somewhere, but not every little script you create needs to be shared.
Just an FYI, this is straight from the rules.
Can someone please explain why the hell I release a script its always gets negative replies. Regardless of how many lines or how useless it is to you. Other people enjoy it and learn from it, especially being requested so many times, why does length matter? Isn’t this forum to help people?
It’s all good, I understand. And fxmanifest.lua is the same as __resource.lua but with RedM being out now and CFx.re expanding things are changing. So fxmanifest is just replacing __resource.lua because it’s able to be used in FiveM and RedM, now I can’t remember if at some point fxmanifest.lua will completely take over the __resource.lua but I believe that it’s good practice to try and keep up to date just in case one day it does happen then at least you will know what to do if that day comes, and it will save you times from having to change “everything” at that point in time
I tested it but it doesn’t work? Do i have to change the max ammo in the main.lua file?
Nothing is needed. I’ve tested it multiple times even on OneSync and no complaints thus far.
There are still rules that need to be followed.
How is it possible that it isn’t working on my side then. I added the resource like usual and started it in my server.cfg. It even said in the console it started the resource.
You realize how many scripts have been released on this forum with less than 50 lines of code? I have yet to see anyone else have a reply on their amount of lines. If they feel it’s not WORTHY of FiveM then they can remove my post. Otherwise can we just let people have something to look forward to.
Ok, tried it again and now it’s fully working. THANK U SO MUCH for your work man and keep the great scripts up!
You must not be on the forums very much then because pretty much all of them get removed. And yes it’s not worthy and will be removed eventually.
Well so be it, I will rewrite it in C# so it will have 50+ lines of code. Thanks for the heads up on the rules.
What happens to him, is that he wants to bother. It is absurd that a mod that does exactly the same thing in mense lines is not accepted and the one that reaches 50 lines if accepted
Kept testing and yet again the fire extinguisher will stop working after some time using it…
Updated.
