London Studios - Update

Since forming London Studios in April 2020 we’ve created a number of high quality and premium resources for the FiveM project, focusing on the emergency services and aiming to bring your server to the next level.

Although we made a number of free resources such as this one in the first year, we’ve now switched to creating paid content, keeping them constantly updated and working along with providing the best possible support to our customers.

Our most popular resources now include Smart Fires, Police Grappler and Smart Hose.

With thousands of happy customers we are confident you’ll love our resources and our active support team are on hand to help if you have any questions!

Our store: https://store.londonstudios.net/forum

Therefore, this resource is now likely out of date and is no longer supported by us. The full source code is available should you wish to make any changes. All of our paid resources however are constantly updated and we invite you to take a look!

SmartVehicleSearch

SmartVehicleSearch - London Studios

SmartVehicleSearch is a FiveM resource coded in C# enhancing the vehicle search experience. The plugin allows you to set inventories in multiple different vehicles at once, puts you into an animation upon searching and opens all doors whilst searching.

This plugin is made by LondonStudios, we have created a variety of releases including TaserFramework, SearchHandler, ActivateAlarm and more!

Usage

/setvehinv [Inventory] - Sets the vehicle inventory you are sitting in.
/clearvehinv - Clears the vehicle inventory you are sitting in.
/searchveh - Searches the vehicle you are facing (you must be outside)

After starting a search, you will be in crouch mode and have the opportunity to walk around the vehicle, the results will come back after 20 seconds and the doors will then promptly close themselves.

Installation

Download the resource from GitHub here.

  1. Create a new resource folder on your server.
  2. Add the contents of “resource” inside it. This includes:
    “Client.net.dll”, “Server.net.dll”, “fxmanifest.lua”
  3. In server.cfg, “ensure” SmartVehicleSearch, to make it load with your server startup.

Source Code

Please find the source code in the “src” folder. Please ensure you follow the licence in “LICENCE.md”.

Feedback

We appreciate feedback, bugs and suggestions related to SmartVehicleSearch and future plugins. We hope you enjoy using the resource and look forward to hearing from people!

Download link not working? i’m clicking the here button yet it doesn’t do anything.

Hi,

Try now,

Best wishes,
London Studios

it works now.

you put all in one file?

?

simply just rename resource to whatever you want to call it ex: search then drag and drop it into your resources folder and add it to your server.cfg

or the more advanced way:

  1. Create a new folder in resources called search or whatever you want
  2. Copy & paste the resource files (Or drag&drop, Cut & paste) into your created file
  3. go into server.cfg and add ensure Search
  4. do ensure Search in the console or restart your server
  5. test it and enjoy.

that i know but the src its to put all in the same folder?

i mean i guess

unless you mean to run the resource then no you only need the src if your going to modify the source code

Hi,

Thank you for providing assistance to other members of the forum with installation, this is much appreciated.

Best wishes,
London Studios

Hi,

You will not require the src folder unless you are modifying the source code, in which you must follow the LICENCE.md - the above comment is correct.

Best wishes,
London Studios

not a problem.

Hey there, yet again, another amazing script.

I have one little request, could you remove the commas between words?

This way if someone were to type “/setvehinv Box of donuts” it wouldn’t appear to be “Box, of, donuts”

I also see that it’s the same thing for the Player Inventory. If someone were to type “/setinv Bag of Chips” it would appear to be “Bag, of, Chips”.

Again, thanks for the amazing releases.

Hi,

Thank you for the feedback, we are glad you enjoy using our plugins.

In regards to this, I am happy to remove the comma which would separate each separate item, it would then be up to the user to use correct punctuation to display the inventory.

This update will be completed soon.

Best wishes,
London Studios

Awesome, but will the inventory be cleared after a search? Can’t do a second search

Hey London! I do have a request. I think it would amazing to have a way to have an NUI text box to type in the arguments. That way, the command can be assigned to a button in a menu like in Radial Menu and fully function. I would really like to see this! Thanks so much for what you guys put out there. You rock!
