[Release] Roll Coal

Not sure if you got the answer or not, but this is server side and really quite a fun little script!

it is but I can only get it to work on one vehicle at a time, its not my commas and ive tried adding a second vehicle next to and below the current one and still only one works at a time…but yes a fun script

can someone post another preview

I have a car named ā€œamarokā€ with categorie ā€œfumarentosā€, when i put in cfg name ā€œamarokā€, it works, but if i put categorie ā€œfumarentosā€ dont work, how can i put more than one car?

Awesome script!
but having an issue with it. It keeps the truck in 1st gear and I cant get it to come out so the truck can go faster

i put more car specified vehicles but dont work. Can I add more? Or just one?

we need to put car name

Has anyone gotten this to work on FiveM recently? I cannot seem to get this script to work whether I add vehicle categories or individual vehicles.

I’m having the same problem

So ive got this to work in my server absolutely fine, the only trouble i’m having is its works on EVERY vehicle and not just the ones i have put in the ( local allowedVehicles = { )

Is there anyway to get this to stop from working on all vehicles?

hey i was just wondering if there is away to pull the cloud away from the vehicle within the CLIENT.LUA

rollcoal.zip (2.7 KB)
here u have it fixed and working on latest version just press ctrl to start the smoke and ctrl to stop it i removed the timer on my server and put a ā€œon off switchā€

It keeps saying you cannot do this as a passenger when i am in the drivers seat.

$40.00 for a free script is WILD

I’ll optimize it today and repost for free LMFAO

Even with a very optimized setup (cached hashes, cached bone index, slow tick when idle, minimal natives, low puff count, etc.), I’m seeing the following:

  • When idle (not in an allowed vehicle / not on throttle), the script can sit at ~0.00 ms because it’s basically sleeping.
  • When the effect is actively rolling coal (reading RPM every tick and spawning particles), realistic numbers are more like 0.01–0.03 ms for a well-optimized resource. You’re still calling natives and creating particles, so it can’t literally be free.

Resmon also only shows two decimal places, so anything below roughly 0.005 ms will be rounded and displayed as 0.00 ms. That means screenshots showing 0.00 ms don’t necessarily mean the script is doing no work — it just means it’s under that threshold, or it was captured while the script wasn’t actually doing much.

Because of that, I’m a bit skeptical when I see storefront screenshots claiming a roll-coal script sits at 0.00 ms while visibly dumping smoke the whole time. From what I’m seeing in practice, that’s not realistically achievable if you’re:

  • polling RPM and controls,
  • checking allowed vehicles,
  • and spawning particles every tick while on throttle.

So my question for the @IMighty advertising these screenshots is:

  • Were those resmon images taken while the script was idle, or during a very short burst?
  • Are you using some trick (e.g., spawning one long-lived FX once and not ticking the script) rather than the usual RPM-based logic?
  • Can you share a short video showing the script actively rolling coal and resmon staying at 0.00 ms?

Not trying to start drama — I just want to make sure buyers aren’t misled by marketing screenshots that don’t represent active usage, and to understand if there’s a legit optimization approach I’m missing.

Thanks!
