this resource is broken af… the creator nor the community doesnt help with anything. don’t even try wasting your time installing this. I get people have lives but for the creator to have not been active for 16 days and if that, be spotty af, its not worth it. Now, dont get me wrong… it is a nice script, so if you know how to fix it and advance it, then by all means go for it. but god damn, some help would have been great. download this live map instead FiveM livemap - FiveMods its free, and its waaaayyyyy easier to set up. it doesnt have as many features as havocs live map but shit… it works.

I mean. He never did fix it. He even admitted it in the Github. Thats not entitlement thats just unfortunate. As recent as Feb 2022.There actually aren’t that many LiveMap resources out there. So.

Its an old post but it only became inactive a few months ago from the last time it was updated and the creator replied to a question. The topic didnt die 5 years ago. If you dont like someone complaining, move on.

why doesn’t someone try to update it themselves? lmao i am planning to eventually if the creator doesn’t. it looks like player positions don’t show up any more but everything else is fine, could it be because of one sync stuff? any who someone throw a print statement onto the player update and see what it spits out and go from there

Make sure you set up a reverse proxy for the blip file and the websocket connection. There’s a section on the documentation website that should help you. Reverse Proxy - Havoc's Docs

Probably the same as above. Or, host the interface on a normal HTTP server (making sure the socket port is port-forwarded if needed). Or it could be the interface is broken, make sure you’re on the “master” branch. That’s the last good build iirc.

What’s broken? Nucleus? Yeah. I know. There’s very little in the way of documentation in regards to the nucleus API. So, it’s extreamly difficult to implement (especially when I’ve not done any sort of complex C++ before so reading the code and figuring out where everything is, is extreamly difficult). If nucelus is the only problem, set up your own reverse proxy. It’s not hard if you have access to it… Everyone just seems to think that because nucleus isn’t working the whole thing is broken, it’s not.

Me to. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it will be implemented into LiveMap (unless someone can help me implement the reverse proxy thing nucleus seems to use to authenticate requests to the API). I’ve tried piggy-backing off the normal nucleus URL (the users-*.cfx.re) however, FiveM doesn’t expose the actual HTTP request/response connections so we cannot upgrade them to websockets. This is also why server-sent events doesn’t work. Yey, fun
I’ve even tried to see if I can get txAdmin’s code to work but, it looks like they have a specific implementation in C++ to create the “monitor” url (which only works in “monitor mode” and for txAdmin by the looks of it).

There’s a bit on the documentation website that should help you Custom Maps - Havoc's Docs. TL;DR: Any directory you want as long as you configure it correctly.

Could also be the websocket connection failing. Best bet is to open the console when you’re on the interface and see if any errors appear. Also, make sure you’re using the “master” branch, I may of fucked up the develop branch recently (well, couple of months ago) testing some things…

How do you access the interface and what’s it’s config like? Are you using the external IP? Are you using HTTPS?

I really dont know how you guys are all having issues lmao.
Havoc has done an amazing job on this resource.

If you guys are wanting to setup the live map with https, Use a web proxy (I use nginx).
Have a look at how I have my nginx.conf setup. I have crossed out some stuff in there.
But the main part is at the very bottom that routes the data through your domain.
upstream → server: serverip:socketport
server → server_name: sub.domain.com (no http:// or back /)
You will need a ssl certificate and private key for https to be secure.

If you set all this stuff up properly (by reading the FiveM documents, AND Havocs documents) it will work perfectly fine.
