[Release] K9 Script [REMOVED]

I set the dogs name then toggled the dog and closed it using the close menu button

hm… Do you see any errors in the F8 console. I may have accidentally missed something.

I too can confirm this issue, it appears to happen after the menu has been opened once. If you close the menu, you’re unable to reopen. In addition, character movement, and game pause is nonfunctional. The cursor can still be moved around the screen, no errors reported in the F8 console. The only way to close FiveM is via task manager.

Thank you. I will work on this now. Let me check to see if I forgot to push something.

thats what F8 looked like after doing it there

Ah, I see what you are talking about. What a weird issue. Give me 10 minutes. I will resolve this.

XD I know what the issue is I was targeting my k9-update on my NUI callbacks easy fix one minute.

Alright Please download it and try again.

Thank you for the report of that. I completely forgot.

thank you for the quick response

I posted at the very very top what the k9 resource name has to be for the menu not to break

When you load the resource the name HAS to be “k9” it cant be anything else right now. I forgot about that part in NUI

Just tested it its now working thanks for the quick fix

Awesome thank you for the report.

Thank you very much for the fix it is working now!

Our members have reported a minor issue with the dog attack function. After executing the dog attack command the dog will run towards the player but will stop half way. At that time the dog will proceed to do the bark animation. If the player who was targeted to get attacked by the dog approaches the dog at that halfway mark he’ll resume his attack on the player. Basically the dog will not chase the player he’ll stop half way.

Is this out of the realm of fixing or is this a GTA issue?

If you run trainers they may have a setting in their trainer where AI ignores them. If they have that set he usually will do that. Nothing I can really do about that if that’s the case.

Outstanding suggestion, we disabled our mellotrainer to see if that could be the issue. Sadly, it wasn’t will continue to investigate and see if we can find a potential fix on our end.

awesome. if you find it let me know.

Alt Z is not going to work as it is taken by another script. I have attempted to change the keys but so far I have had no luck (used the knowledge you taught me in the summer for the same issue). I know this is set up differently. Is there more than one place I would need to change the key?

Just here

		if IsControlPressed(1, 19) and IsControlJustPressed(1,20) then -- LEFTALT + Z
			TriggerServerEvent('K9:SendMenuToggle')
		end

If you place and GetLastInputMethod (0) right after if IsControlPressed(1, 19) and IsControlJustPressed(1,20) just like this if IsControlPressed(1, 19) and IsControlJustPressed(1,20) and GetLastInputMethod (0) then this will prevent the controller from being called so no more down on the dpad opening the menu.
