[RELEASE] Guardian- An All New Discord Whitelist

It was an error on my end with my patch notes in the version check. Should be fixed now.

i have to be missing something, as i have tried downloading the fixed version twice, cleared my cache and installed it twice, but still tells me i am on the old version 1.1.0, even though i deleted the folder from my resources and placed in the 1.2.0 folder

Did you download and replace the entire file? The FxManifest.lua is what tells the script the version

deleted the entire folder and placed in the new version

just looked in the fxmanifest in the v1.2.0 download and it shows version “v1.1.0”

will just change the version number

SCRIPT ERROR: citizen:/scripting/lua/scheduler.lua:955: No such export GetDiscordRoles in resource Badger_Discord_API

Also getting the No such export GetDiscordRoles in resource Badger_Discord_API

Put in the latest version (1.2.0) and I’m noticing something I seen in the previous versions, The whitelist is not working? Anyone is able to join regardless if they have the whitelisted role we chose or not.

Sadly this does not work. Version check error also appears to be present. Typo perhaps with what its checking against?

Chris back into FiveM development?

I am, yes. Restarting iSe and seeing what’s going to come of it. Seems like its a good time to be returning.

Glad to see iSe return, barely any good combat server right now

Hence the sudden return. Going to try and rip into this script to get it working. You know us and our mandatory Discord WL requirement. Feel free to hit me on cord if you want to catch up.

Yeah, I made a typo in the database.

A new update was pushed with some more features and dummy proofing thanks to Hyperz

I figured you did by accident. I did stumble across a potential issue running both this, and the queue script. I’ll give the update a shot, been meaning to update it since last night when I noticed it.

Is Guardian supposed to stop a player from joining if their Discord client is not open? I’ve noticed that it will sometimes let me in when my Discord client is closed and sometimes it doesn’t. Just not sure if it’s supposed to always stop a player from joining without Discord open.

This happens even though I do have the whitelisted role.

Just for the sake of saying, it DOES stop people from joining if they do NOT have the whitelisted role, as it should. That part of it works perfectly.

So it’s kinda weird right… basically, FiveM gets Discord info (sometimes it will save this from the last time you were on so you don’t always need Discord open) → Badger_Discord_API reads the info and gets the role ID’s → Guardian takes role ID’s and sees if whitelisted… FiveM is just kinda weird

TL;DR: FiveM is wonky and Discord is weird as well, not anything to do with Guardian.

LOL, good answer. Okie dokie.

So, all this resource does it add a server whitelist function correct?, please correct me if i’m wrong.

Yes .
